What is horror music?

You could say that it is the bastard child of Alice Cooper, and cult horror movies. The music focuses on the macabre, the scary, the spooky, murder, necrophilia, graveyards, death, vampires, bloodlust, night time all the fun stuff!. The music itself can be of various styles horror rock, metal, industrial, punk, pyschobilly to name a few. The styles are limited only by the artists perception of the genre, but they all have similar themes and a subject matter drawn from the dark side of life and a fixation with death.

Made popular by artists such at - The Misfits, Nekromantix, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, and Tiger Army to name a few.

Dead Records Horror Shows - Horror bands and DJ’s, spooky lighting and decorations, horror themes

Annual shows - The Dead of Winter Festival, The Undead Ball, The Vampires Ball, Valentines Massacre, Hail to the Darkside Festival

Dead Records will be putting out its first compilation of spooky sounds over the 2009/10 summer…so keep a look out!
